In short

With a free Sadho account, your practice is synced to your account and stored with our database provider Supabase in Mumbai, India. Deleting your account removes the account and its synced data. Without an account, Tap counting stays on your phone — delete it there or uninstall the app.

Delete your account from inside the app

  1. Open Sadho.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Scroll to Danger zone.
  4. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This removes your account (email, name, 18+ confirmation, language) and the practice data synced to it: history, plans, calendar marks and notes, notepad, your own mantras, saved stopwatch timings and settings.

Voice training and your location are kept on the phone, not in your account. To remove them too, uninstall the app.

Without an account

Tap counting you did without an account stays on your phone. Delete it in the app, or uninstall Sadho. Uninstalling does not delete a Sadho account — use Delete account for that.

What is not deleted straight away

  • Backup copies. Our database provider keeps backup copies for a limited period; deleted data disappears from them when they expire.
  • Emails you sent us. Ask us to delete that correspondence (see below).

Data we hold

For a Sadho account we hold your account data (email, optional name, 18+ confirmation, language) and your synced practice data, stored with Supabase in Mumbai, India. We also keep usage statistics as totals, detailed usage events only if you said yes to Help improve Sadho, and any email you sent us.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app, you can ask us to delete your account and its data by email. You can also ask us to delete emails you have sent us.

Write to grievance@sadho.in with the subject “Delete my data” and include:

  • the email address of your Sadho account (and the address you are writing from, if different);
  • what you want deleted — everything, or something specific;
  • whether you want a confirmation when it is done.

Please do not send passwords or backup files. We may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address.

We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete them within 30 days (never more than 90 days). If some data must be kept for a legal reason, we will tell you what and why.

More detail is in our privacy policy.
